You have not a bad accent, you have a french accent!".

I see what you mean. This is something I want to work on but I guess it will require quite a work (hence time) and I will need to speak slowier than usually, which I find really really hard. I am just happy to know that my colleagues and people in the street do not have problem to understand me, meaning that my accent is good enough not to alter too much communication whith native and non-native.

By the way, the fact of speaking fast is really a mistake generator: I hear them but I don't know why, my brain is not able to avoid them. I usually do not have this problem when writing, probably because I can't type fast enough on my keyboard.

That's true, besides, I had tried to see Star Wars in VO. I Like Palpatine because he is speaking slowly.

You don't care about mistakes: mistakes are natural and the only way to avoid them is to practice the language a lot. Practice, practice, practice and practice again and your amount of mistakes will decrease with time.

When I have started to watch films and series in English, I needed to use english subtitles to follow. I still do it from time to time when the accents of some characters is too different of accents I am used to. Wink

So do I today. I'd like not to need them (is this sentence ok?), but now, it's not possible for me.
